Quebec – Belgium Gastronomy Alliance

We’re delighted to announce, for the 11th time, the participation of three of our restaurants in the Bonnes Tables du Festival, within the 13th edition of the Montréal en Lumière Festival (FML), running from February 16th to February 26th 2012.

Each year, a region from around the world is put in the spotlight in order to allow Montreal’s best chefs to meet up with their colleagues abroad. For its 2012 edition, the festival will focus on Brussels and Wallonia due their neighbourly qualities and the warmth of their hospitality, features that they share with Montreal, along with their complementary qualities when it comes to gastronomy and know-how. The duos of chefs will compose menus offering perfect wine pairings that reflect the fusion of their respective culinary cultures. The vineyards in Seattle, Washington, will be highlighted. Whether you are a seasoned gourmand or a foodie in training, let your senses be taken in by this unique and exclusive experience during the festival.

Chef Clément Rodarie has bravely agreed to take up the challenge put forth this year by the theme of “Belgian gastronomy revisited by Quebec’s next generation”. VERSES classics will be revisited through a four-course tasting menu by students and alumni of the Quebec Institute of Tourism and Hospitality (ITHQ), who are about to begin their careers in cuisine, pastry making, or as sommeliers. Wines imported from L’École no. 41, owned by Marty Clubb, will complement these delicious creations. Surrounded by a lively and warm environment, you will experience an honest and comforting type of cuisine, with the added charm of the chic décor of a patrimonial building with a view upon historical Rue Saint Paul and Saint Sulpice. From Friday February 24th through Saturday February 25th 2012. The first service will be held at 5:30 pm and the second one at 9:00 pm. Price before wine: $65; price including wine: $95.
